How can I convert an old AppleWorks word document?

Hello,

We have a Mac Mini Late 2014 and have attached an old drive from a 2002 PowerMac to it and discovered that we have some important documents that were created with AppleWorks 6.2.9 that we have been missing. Is there any tool that will open those documents for us, or any way to print them out? The PowerMac has long since died.

Thanks for the help

Hal

Niel, Thanks for the information, wished I had seen it before my PowerMac smoked. I ended up installing LibreOffice which was able to open the most important of the cwk documents. A few it attempts to open in the Spreadsheet but the sheet ends up empty. I think I have access to the older versions of Pages ... So I will try to open the stubborn docs with those, once I reinstall them.
