In the case of the Apple Support Communities, it is an Apple hosted online forum where users can post technical/operational questions about Apple products and other users that have experienced the same issues can suggest solutions or procedures that may lead to solutions.

Community defines the difference between one subject and another, insofar as Apple discussions go.

Apple needs to publish a "glossary", huh?

(I am not sure those folks making up the info architecture and naming conventions truly understood the concepts - you remember Apple was pretty resistant to most kinds of social media for years! - the "mailing lists" evolved into the "discussions" forums into the "communities" [kicking and screaming] )

I would call the entire place a 'community'* (singular). The subdivisions, in common parlance, would be 'forums' (fora?) or 'neighborhoods' in the geographical sense

    * the Jive forums are called "Jive Community" (singular) > https://community.jivesoftware.com/welcome
