how to remove uTorrent

Hello,

I recently returned home from a work trip to find uTorrent on my iMac. Possibly added by my teenagers or not?

I don't know what it is or why i have it but i need to get rid of it. Any thoughts?

Also, always have the pop up "To use the Java command in-line tool you need to install a JDK" which i thought I've done more than once. I need to get it to stop asking or remove.

Thanks

RMc

Hello LloydLoar,
I understand that you would like to remove uTorrent from your Mac as well as resolve an issue about using Java for Mac. That is something I can help you out with.
To delete an app that was not downloaded from the App Store, it is just a matter of finding it and then dragging to the Trash. Once there, you can empty it to remove the app from your Mac. Take a look at the article below for more details on this.
OS X El Capitan: Install, update, and uninstall apps

Now as far as the Java pop up, you might run into instances with apps or websites using the legacy version of OS X. The file below would be needed to download and installed to get rid of the pop up in the future.

Take care
