Q: Repeated rejection of (the correct) .me account password

I have a .me account and since upgrading to El Capitan, the Apple Mail repeatedly asks for the password despite entering it successfully upon the last time it asked for it.  Happens about 4-5 times a day and is not machine specific. I have deleted the account and reinstalled it but nothing helps. Apple support says it's a bug but they've not gotten around to fixing it....

Yes same here, been happening for a few months now. Ever since upgrading to El Capitan. Tried resetting iCloud, but randomly it prompts me for a password and I need to go to iCloud settings to fix. But everything there appears normal? Its always pertaining to just Mail and .Mac sign in. I don't use OS X Mail or iCloud mail that much. So I may just switch to accessing my iCloud mail with Safari, because it does appear that Mail has a bug of some sorts. Sadly, I switch my primary mail address to another provider a while ago after the whole Me.com thing was a disaster. Mail app in OS X has progressively become worse not better in my opinion.
