I went to the app store to download the podcast app to my iPhone 6 and the podcasts app is on the phone, but when I click on "Open Podcasts", nothing happens.

    Howdy mrg10000,

    Welcome to Apple Support Communities.

If I understand correctly, there's an issue with the Podcasts app not opening on your iPhone 6s. If you haven't already, try taking a look at the article linked below and running through the general troubleshooting tips that it provides.

I went through that process and tried to download the podcast app again. Here is what happened. I went to the App Store and searched for podcast. The Podcast App then was on my iphone screen in full size with a blue link that said "Open Podcasts". I click on the link and nothing happens. I close that out and go to the iphone to see if the Podcast App shows up on my screen and it is not there among the other installed apps. Podcast never installs.

About two days ago, I had several apps to update and clicked on update all. They all seemed to update, but for the first time after an update, the updated apps remain on the updates page with an update date. They used to go away after updating and the updates page only showed the new updates. I do not know if theses two events are connected.
