Welcome to the Apple Support Communities! I'm sorry to hear you are having these issues with Boot Camp on your Mac. I'm a bit unclear on what exactly you are seeing in Boot Camp Assistant when you try to download the Windows support software, but you may want to double-check the process you are following based on the type of install you are doing, as outlined in the following article:
