iphone not detected in itunes and itunes cannot connect to itunes store

Updated to ios 9.2.1 on Monday and after updating, there was a prompt saying bonjour services was disabled. I ran services.msc and it was shown as enabled. Anyone can offer any help? I have un-installed and re-installed iTunes. I also tried updating the Apple driver. Basically iTunes doesn't detect my iphone but it does show up as a portable device under My Computer

Hi, desmaniac.

Thank you for visiting Apple Support Communities.

I understand iTunes doesn't recognize your iPhone and various troubleshooting steps have been processed. Let's start with completely uninstalling iTunes and all of it's components in the order specified via the article below. Once this is done, restart your computer, reinstall iTunes as an administrator by right-clicking on the .msi installer package and test.
