Can I use iCloud Pages on an iPad with Safari?

I would like to use iCloud versions of Pages and Numbers via "Request the Desktop Site" through Safari on my wife's iPad from time to time without having to setup my iCloud account on her device. I tried to access them, however touch inputs don't seem to be recognized to open folders or documents. Anyone know if another browser recognizes touch inputs or if this will be made compatible in the future? I would hate to have to migrate my documents to Google Docs...
