My 4th Gen iPod Shuffle was charging up until about a month ago. Now, when I plug it into a USB port on my computer, it doesn't show up on the computer device list, or iTunes. It also isn't charging. When plugged in and turned on, it gives about a 3 second, red blinking light. Then nothing. I've tried about 3 different chargers, and a bunch of different USB ports. Are there any tricks to make it start working again?

If it was recently working and does not know (showing the red light), the most likely cause is a worn out battery that can no longer hold a charge.
If it was not connected to power between the last time it was used and now, combined with a battery that is becoming weaker, it's possible that the battery level went too low (became fully discharged). I've seem posts here about a method that may get it to charge again (which I have not used). It involves using a USB power adapter. Repeatedly connect and disconnected the shuffle when the red light goes out. To avoid wearing out the shuffle's headphones jack, you should connect and disconnect from the USB connector (where it connects to the power adapter). Repeat until the red light no longer goes out, which means the shuffle's battery is charging.
This may not work in your case, if the battery is worn out and not able to charge at all.
