Since you are able to stream via AirPlay (over Wi-Fi) from your MacBook to the Aura, you know that both wireless and AirPlay are functioning properly. That would leave either your iPod Touch or the Harmon Remote App as the potential issues.

Did you verify that you can stream from the iPod to the Aura using the Music app on the iPod instead of the remote app? If you did and found that, it too, did not work, have you tried streaming to another AirPlay-ready device (AirPort Express, Apple TV, or another manufacturers' AirPlay-ready product)?

Not streaming to Apple TV - trying to stream directly to Harman Aura device. Latest Aura model is advertised compatible with Apple Airplay since it has wifi. Airplay icon appears blue in iTunes but when I click the tune to play, it craps out and Airplay icon turns amber. That's when I get the -15008 error. Harman doesn't want to be bothered and removed my question from their own forum.

I fully understand that. I am trying to find out if your iPod can stream to any other AirPlay-ready device. If it can't then is could be an issue with your iPod. If it can, then it may be the Harmon app itself. This is the only way I know how to test this. You may need to take your iPod over to a friend's house to do so.

We know that AirPlay is working on your network since your MacBook can stream successfully ... so there's no use troubleshooting that. You may want to remove and reinstall the Harmon app on your iPod to see if that will help.

I would have expected more from them for support as to what you received, especially since they provide "hi-end" audio gear.

No, re-booted router and now the Aura won't connect or show up in the wifi drop-down list at all after several tries. The Aura's wifi light keeps blinking on & off but there's nothing more I can do with it. Also uninstalled the HK remote app. The first time when I set it up, I connected the iPod Touch directly to the Aura with the Aura's USB socket & the Aura imported my iPod's wifi settings successfully. I just tried that again but the Aura won't even acknowledge the iPod now. The Aura has a superb sound as a speaker system for the hdtv (via the optical) and I can still use my Apple TV to do streaming. But as a wifi streaming device unto itself, it really *****. Haven't even tried the bluetooth yet. So guess I'll keep it anyway. Hope you were able to follow my rambling on about it.

We have lift-off! On the advice of Harman house tech, activated the bluetooth & synced iPod Touch. Proceeded to play my playlist from iTunes & voila! Then re-installed Harman remote app while still active on bluetooth. After I activated app, it synced with Harman Aura over wifi connection. A lot of quick, confusing back & forth between devices but just do what it tells you. Followed the "easy setup" wizard in steps. So it at least streams from the iPod Touch for now. Will try streaming music from my Macbook at a later point + will give it the acid test & see if the app remote controller still works while watching hdtv hooked up optically to Aura. Stay tuned.

A done deal for the most part.

Pros: bluetooth the solution. Airplay from Macbook iTunes to Aura successful right away via bluetooth (also iPod Touch). HK app successful with bluetooth activated. HK app now works along with hdtv hooked up to Aura optical but bluetooth must be activated too. Can do. The app actually growing on me.

Aura sound is The Bomb; best system I ever had hands down. Who needs faux surround-sound? Astonishing engineering since the tech specs on paper really don't look that intimidating. Sweet spot for the woofer is right at default 50% - plenty for me, not sure about my neighbors.

Cons: Airplay problem with the wifi. Some kind of conflict at least on my router. Shouldn't be this difficult learning curve. Instructions not much helpful & too cryptic. HK & Apple need to get on same page with this or average consumer won't bite.

Problem solved: shout-out to HK resident tech. Aura rules. Buy.

- Harman Aura wifi connection must be established.

- Aura bluetooth must be paired with HK remote app (already installed) on mobile device (iPhone, etc).

- Aura device must be recognized in HK remote app.

- HK remote app dashboard: click "+" button to add additional device.

- HK remote app dashboard: select HK Aura wifi (as new device)

- HK remote app dashboard: next step 2, share wifi connection (allow). Aura should beep confirmation when established.

- Open iTunes on Macbook. Airplay icon should be highlighted blue with HK Aura wifi checked.

- Press to play song in iTunes. Use HK remote app to adjust volume, bass, etc. on Aura as song plays.
