Q: Podcast image issue: error message
I've been working with two very smart people for two days and we cannot figure out how to get our podcast validated on iTunes.
- We have the host site (archive.com).
- We've posted it to Tumblr.
- We've put it through a feedburner to pull out the RSS feed.
- We made our image 1500x1500 which is between the 1400x1400 - 3000x3000 parameters.
We are still getting this error message and can't work our way around it.
Podcast artwork must be between 1400 x 1400 and 3000 x 3000 pixels, JPG or PNG, in RGB color space, and hosted on a server that allows HTTP head requests.
Any advice would be SO greatly appreciated. We're currently hosting our image on a public squarespace site. It's a jpg.

The URL in your 'itunes:image' tag is
https://41.media.tumblr.com/4e53cd75eaf98071607f0951c1292ad2/tumblr_o336os075l1v 3mhf6o1_1280.jpg
This image is 1280 x 1280 px and thus below the minimum requirement of 1400 x 1400.
On a different matter, the URL of your media file, which is hosted on archive.org, begins with https: this will probably work OK but I would recommend changing it to begin with http - it still works if you do this.
There is a more serious issue: you have two episodes, the first of which contains only a smaller version of the picture. The Store checks only the top episode when considering a submission and does not read episodes with no playable media file, so the feed as it stands will be rejected even if you deal with the main image problem. You need to remove the episode called 'Photo' - there's no point at all in having it; but if you must have it make sure it's dated earlier than 'Episode 1'. It won't show in iTunes.
