Mail not seeing new mail with smtp settings. I am having to quit and restart Mail for it to see new mail. Also, mail will arrive in my inbox and disappear before I can open it. I am connecting to a godaddy email account through mail. godaddy claims it has something to do with El Capitan. Has anyone had this same problem and fixed it?

MacBook Pro (Retina, Mid 2012), OS X El Capitan (10.11.3)

Mail not sending or receiving messages after updating OS X

Try rebuilding the mailbox.

Rebuild mailbox

If that doesn't work, try re-indexing the mailboxes. This can take awhile if you have a lot of mail.

Reindex messages For El Capitan, try looking in V3.
