Ipod touch 5 not turning on?

After I charged my ipod, it was stuck on the apple logo and not responding.
I reset it, by holding down the power and home button, and the screen turned black, and then the logo appeared again.

But it doesnt load, it turns off after a few minutes of being on the logo screen.
I've also tried connecting to my PC, but it won't recognise my ipod.
Help?

See what you missed here:

- Apple logo with progress bar after updating or restoring iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on

- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.

- Try another cable

- Try on another computer

- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.
