defaults write -g ApplePressAndHoldEnabled -bool true
If the password field still fails, it may be due to how it is configured in the sites source, you may need to use the keyboard viewer to enter accented characters.…

Uninstalling is not easy, the sellers just want it to stay.

You should never install any software, no matter what it is, merely because some stranger tells you to. You should only install software that does something useful to you.
