Ipad mini 2 with activation locked by old owner!

Hi all!

First, sorry for my bad English.

I'm purchased an Ipad mini 2 from an Apple Authorized Reseller in Viet Nam. After a fews hours using it, i decide to restore to clean up my ipad. But after restore, my ipad got activation locked by an email which i don't know, i think this is the email of the old owner (my bad, i forgot to check the activation lock before purchased it). I've asked the seller but they don't know the information too. So I call to Apple Support number but there don't have anyone can speak Vietnamese.

So I want to know how i can remove the activation lock of my ipad. I read some information that i need provide the invoice and the serial number of deivce to Apple. But i don't know what exactly steps to contact Apple.

Can some one help me?

Return it for a refund.

Only the original owner with the correct Apple ID & password can remove the Activation Lock, no one else, not even Apple.

The writer said Apple should remove the activation lock if you can provide the proof of purchase.

No, only the receipt from an Apple Store not some 3rd party vendor.

No real AASP (Apple Authorised Service Provider) would sell an Activation Locked device.

It's a real AAR, but i think my ipad is an demo unit and someone/old owner forgot to sign out their apple id from the device 😟

Well, again no AASP will sell any device with Activation Locked.

Either the seller has no clue or it's not an AASP.

Again return it for a refund.
