Q: Audio But No Screen Video

When I connect any device (MacPro, iPhone, iPad, etc) to my Apple TV via AirPlay, I can hear the audio, but the video/screen does not show on the TV. I have a third generation Apple TV and software is up-to-date on the unit as well as on all the devices that I try to connect.

 

In addition, I can view any video that I downloaded from iTunes or home video that I've stored on iTunes.

 

Any reason why I can't see the screen from my devices when I connect? Am I missing something? Am I expecting something that can't be delivered?
