I downloaded music to iPad but can't find it

Please forgive me for asking, be just to be sure....are you certain that the songs did in fact download to your device? And when you say download, do you mean that you went to the iTunes Store on the iPad, bought and downloaded the songs in there?

You can check the purchased tab in the iTunes Store to see if the transactions went through.

Tap on Artists and then Only downloaded music>On, at the bottom of the list. If it still isn't showing, close the music app and force restart the iPad. Then look again.

Press the Home button two times quickly. You'll see small previews of your recently used apps. Swipe left to find the app you want to close. Swipe up on the app's preview to close it

To force restart your device, press and hold both the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons for at least ten seconds, until you see the Apple logo.

Try this and see if you can find the music this way.

Swipe down from the middle of any home screen to bring up the spotlight search feature. Type the name of any song that you synced to the iPad. If the song is on the device, it will appears in the search. Tap on the song and that will take you to the Music app. If you tap on the arrow on the right, in the search screen, the song will begin to play from the search screen without going to the music app.

to play in the apple music app you need to sync from a computer with iTunes or use iCloud to get the music
