Q: I want to burn my entire library to disc or transfer it to some other kind of media for use on all my devices, I don't like that it feels as if my music that I paid for is being held hostage by apple. HELP!

What is the best way and most reliable way to convert my library for play on ALL of my different devices, and not be stuck, tethered, or required to use an apple product or service to play my music that I paid for, or give me a refund so that I can go purchase it for use anywhere any time on any thing any way that I want. Especially since I now have an Android device after many years of disappointment from apple. I want to take my music with me.

You can download a program for free off internet that will allow you to convert Apple media to MP3, Win, ect. Or depending on what computer you have, PC or iOS, it may already have that option within the media player. At least on Apache it will. Convert the songs and presto, music that can be burned or copied to any device for playback. Quality will be limited though. But not much if any. Just depends on the program.

    Rob,

First you need to find out the format of your current music.  If it is in MP3 or AAC, it will play find in an Android.

If you have any protected files that were purchased from the iTunes Store prior to mid-2009 that have not yet been upgraded, you will have some special considerations.

Otherwise just copy the song files and use them.
