It looks like the trackpad doesn't move the cursor on your MacBook Pro after it wakes from sleep. You've done a good job of isolating this to just the trackpad.
You can try several of the steps mentioned in If your Mac doesn't sleep or wake when expected to troubleshoot this situation, even though the article title doesn't match your exact symptom:
- Start up in Safe Mode to see if the issue is related to non-Apple startup items, login items, or kernel extensions.
- Try to isolate the issue by using another user account.
