Q: Can't connect to Wi-Fi, iPhone 6 Plus
Hello, I am having trouble getting my bosses iPhone 6 plus to connect to our work Wi-Fi. I have the same phone and have no problem connecting. He just returned from a trip and told me he had no problem connecting at the airport. Thought I might be missing something. Things I have tried:
- Turning phone off and then back on
- Forgetting our network and then choosing it again
- Reset Network Settings (Under Settings/General/Reset/Reset Network Settings)
- rebooted our work Wi-Fi router
- Turned off/on Wi-Fi Networking (Under Privacy/Location services/System Services/Wi-Fi Networking) then restarted iPhone
- Under "Other" networks I tried to enter our network name and password, but got the message that it couldn't find the domain.
We are using DHCP, work router is using WPA security.
His phone finds our work network Wi-Fi, and tries to connect to it. Just keep getting the spinning dial after entering password.
I did notice that the problem phone is pulling an IP address that is not similar to the one in my phone. Also the Subnet Mask is different. It appears that information is from another network.
iPhone does need iOS update, but can't get connected to Wi-Fi to update.
iPhone never gives any other error message or incorrect password message. At a loss as to what to try next. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
iPhone 6 Plus, iOS 8.4.1
