Feb 26, 2016 9:32 AM in response to Hiltzyby Tesserax,I set up an old (1st generation) airport express last night as a bridge (intending to join my existing netgear network, and use airport only for USB printer).
Since both the 1st generation 802.11n (model A1264) and the even older 802.11g (model A1084) AirPort Express base stations look identical, which one are you referring to?
I could never see the printer from iphone or other wireless devices, but the network seemed to continue working as normal.
Is this printer AirPrint-ready? If not, you will not be able to print to it from an iOS device.
I disconnected the ethernet cable of the airport, and everything worked normally again.
This may indicate that the Express is not configured properly to join the Netgear Wi-Fi network, but is trying to perform as a wireless router ... its default configuration.
