Unable to share from Photos

Hi,

I am having problems sharing photos from Photos. Whether I secondary click or use the share button with a photo selected, I choose the option (Mail or Messages) and nothing happens. If I subsequently try secondary clicking or using the share button, I get a greyed out menu or an error sound respectively. None of the menus work either. The only way to recover is to close Photos from the Dock. Trying again after re-opening Photos yields the same results.

Sharing to iCloud Photo Sharing does work, but takes a very long time.

Any ideas?
