Feb 26, 2016 1:05 PM in response to 1citycountrygirlby Pmintz25,All printers should have a way to connect via USB to the computer, but not all printers come with the cable.
Do you have your printer's manual? It should have a diagram of which cable you need to buy.

Says your printer MAY NOT have come with the cable.
Best of luck

DesktopsIt appears from the online users manual that a standard USB A (wide rectangle like on your Mac) to B (smaller squarish connector found on many peripherals) cable shipped in the box, and although the manual drones on forever about using it on a Wi-Fi network, they do admit you can direct-connect it with USB if you prefer. [but the cable is required to establish the initial network-name, password, and IP Address, and it cannot be used on Wi-Fi without first connecting it with the cable to specify those things.]
