Q: Mac mini mid 2011 freezing after erase harddrive

I Apologize for not knowing all the correct lingo, but after re-installing OS, my computer freezes, spinning wheel, on any window I barely move. I assume hardware issue? (Erased HD to try to resolve this same issue).

    Problem: Computer is too slow

    Description:

Whenever I move a window, the computer freezes. Before I erased the HD, it would crash, or I would get the spinning beach ball indefinitely. I would often have to crash restart.

I since erased HD and have only been trying Safari and Firefox to replicate my problem. It persists, although not as much…and it hasn’t really beach balled yet. (20 minutes…?) But I feel I should be able to move windows around freely regardless.

    Nothing really there.

Is the original HD still installed?

Maybe the HD is failing and it has to read the drive many times to get error free data

Yes, original. it definitely was acting rough still, so I agree--it must be getting a good read somehow.

    I appreciate your tool/test/help/time!

I'll be back with another read sometime just to see if it's different.

    THanks
