Q: Calendar window wrong size on initial open, laptop

Hello,

I know I could likely 'fix' this by deleting the prefs files, but I'd rather not have to reconfigure Calendar from scratch if I don't have to.

Problem:  when I first open the application on my laptop the window size is never retained.  Usually the width is, but the height is always scrunched to about 25% of normal.  No matter how I leave the window when I close the application.  *only the width is retained, not the height*

Is there an editable (via terminal) parameter I could  reset possibly?

Thanks for any clues or help.

    I've had the same issue Troy.  I haven't yet found a solution to this but if I do, I will come back to this thread and post an update.  It seems as though it just all of a sudden stopped retaining the set size when previously opened.

    Ok, this is definitely a quirk in Calendar but I reached out to some colleagues and they too have seen the issue.  One responded and stated that a work-around is to hide the Calendars view.  Something with that left column is causing Calendar to not refresh - not sure what but regardless, its affecting yours and many of ours in the company.

    Hope this helps - its not ideal but at least you can check calendars from time to time and just close the view before you close.

    Regards...

    Thanks JimN,

    Like others, I've found that having Exchange calendars in the mix seems to be the problem.  Going to a fresh account, setting up calendars and omitting any Exchange calendars = no problems.    Adding 1 or more in, and the problem reappears.   I need to see mine, so I have gotten used to toggling the List when I need to see it.   Seems like a battle Apple and Microsoft need to find an accommodation for.  PS - it doesn't seem to have started on a certain date or release.

    Troy,

    I have tried several things for this problem as well.  I just deleted Exchange calendar from my wife's laptop.  It has worked to retain the size so far.

    blockquote, div.yahoo_quoted { margin-left: 0 !important; border-left:1px #715FFA solid !important; padding-left:1ex !important; background-color:white !important; }
