Newly Arisen problem with iTunes 12.3.2.35 and MacOS X Yosemite

This first appeared two or three weeks ago, following the installation of a new fibre router (so I assumed that was the issue). Bell was absolutely not helpful, claimed not responsible for Apple products. Symptoms are.... No Home Sharing to iPad or 3rd generation AppleTVs (One wifi, one ethernet) but ... and here's the twist... my Mac can see the iPads when they are web browsing and the AppleTV's recognize the name of the iTunes shared library when I changed the name. iTunes works fine streaming content from the iTunes store . I changed the name of my desktop system, as suggested and this similarly had no effect.

Has anyone had similar experiences and, if so, what was the solution?

Mac mini (Late 2014), OS X Yosemite (10.10.5), iTunes 12.3.2

Hey vptume,

Welcome to Apple Support Communities.

If I understand correctly, there's an issue connecting to shared iTunes libraries and streaming content with Home Sharing since replacing your wireless router. Try taking a look at the article below which provides a lot of great information and general troubleshooting tips that should help you resolve this issue.
