nano does not detect sensor

ipod nano 6th will not detect my sport kit sensor. What can I do?

A 6th gen nano does not have built-in Bluetooth like the 7th gen nano. It needs to have the Bluetooth receiver that connects to the dock connector. It's the white thing you can see next to the sensor

Do you have the receiver AND the sensor? With a 7th gen nano, you just need the sensor that goes on your shoe. With earlier iPod nano models, you also need the receiver.
