Deleted email messages on iPhone keep returning

Deleted email messages on iPhone keep returning no matter how many times I Delete them.

Every time I check for Mail, the previously Deleted messages keep coming back, even after I Delete them from the server[s].

I'm now up to over 11K messages on my iPhone…!!!

Where's the "PURGE ALL DELETED MESSAGES" or "EMPTY THE TRASH" buttons…?

This is driving me nuts…!!!

IPhone 4S latest iOS9

This all started after the last iOS update.

"JANE…STOP this crazy thing…!!!"

Thanx for the reply!

Why would that matter…?

I get this with ALL my email accounts, even my mac/me.com, tho not as often…it usually will sync up after a day or so.

Same providers, addresses, & ISP [WOW] that I've had , nothing has been changed as far as I know.

As I said, it all started after the last iOS update on the iPhone.

I open Mail, and suddenly 100's of messages from days, even weeks ago that were deleted from the iPhone numerous times, AND even the servers, come back in…I can Delete them, close the app, re-boot the iPhone, re launch Mail, and they're all back again…they're like the Terminator…they won't go away…ever…;-)

Best Regards, SS
