Why won't my monster headphones connect wirelessly to my mac?

I have went into Bluetooth and tried to find my device but it never shows any devices in the list. I am always sure that my headphones are switched to discoverable and the Bluetooth on my laptop says it is on. I am not sure what else to do now, and I'm not sure if anyone could help me with a brand that apple probably doesn't like...
