Bluetooth Taking Forever To Turn On

I'm glad to see I'm not the only one noticing this bug with IOS 10. It's so frustrating because I normally keep Bluetooth off to conserve battery and would like to be able to quickly switch it on from the toolbar. Instead I'm forced to wait a good thirty seconds or even minute in the settings.

I'm having the same problem. Annoying as **** and ridiculous to experience the delay when there was NO delay before. Does Apple care enough to fix it or do we have to wait until it hits their stock price before they act?

It is not happening all the time. But it is there.

It was started from ios 10.2 and It's not yet fixed in 10.2.1.

Sure there is a bug.

Some devices require you to "Pair" before they show up. Others won't show up until you hit the Viewable option; basically allows your phone to see it. while others will just show up and you can just select it to connect. If your Bluetooth continues to search, try turning off and resetting the device you want to connect to.

Reboot your phone - see if that changes anything - there is no data loss

Restart your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support

Oh, ok. Yeah, you can leave it on. The busy circle will constantly be searching if it is. That is normal. But if you dont have Bluetooth devices to hookup to, then you could just turn it off. Battery difference isn't much. Either way, it won't hurt.

But yes, once you turn Bluetooth on, it's on. Turn it off, it's off. You can verify that by the Bluetooth icon up in the top toolbar of iPhone.

iPhone 6S - never had this issue before prior to iOS 10. The replies don't really address what he's trying to explain. Perhaps I wouldn't know either unless my phone didn't start behaving the same way.

Bluetooth took about 40 seconds to enable the other day. Just spinning wheel. A day or two prior to that it actually crashed my phone. So hopefully Apple is already looking into this.

I am having exactly the same issue with my iPhone 6s. Ever since I upgraded to iOS 10, the Bluetooth constantly takes a minute to turn on. Before it was instantly turned on.

Same problem. Does anyone have a solution to this?

The same trouble here too... also this issue is followed by a Bluetooth device (Plantronics Bluetooth) disconnects whenever I receive a call. Changed the Bluetooth device but problem persists.

Same thing on my iPhone 6S Plus. 9.3.2 was normal and fast but updated to 10.2.1 and it takes almost ten seconds for my Bluetooth to turn on. Please fix this Apple.
