Q: random reboot with high graphics use. bad graphics card? macbook pro mid-2010

Macbook pro 15 inch constantly reboots when using safari google maps (graphics) and therefore high graphics use. fan speeds up, heats up, shut down, reboot. every time, all the time. reading tells me this is a common problem with this apple product. is this covered by apple. should i replace the graphics card?

iPhone 5, Mac OS X (10.7.4)

It could be this problem
MacBook Pro (15-inch, Mid 2010) intermittent black screen or loss of video Quality Program has ended - Apple Support
To test try disabling the discrete graphics

The graphics is soldered to the logic board and is not replaceable.
If it the problem you can try oven baking
