I guess my point was it's not because of Spotify or OSX. It's something else causing Spotify to crash. Perhaps Little Snitch.

For what it's worth, sounds like someone from Spotify is full of it. 😁

I run Spotify on three different Macs running OSX 10.11.x, Firewall enabled and Spotify has never caused a Kernel Panic, that I've noticed at any rate.

What I don't understand is the article by MacRumors written Feb 26th cites a problem with Spotify 1.0.15.133 which was at least 8 versions ago.

Spotify has worked for me since it was released up through OSX 10.11.3 on multiple Macs.

FWIW, I just realized I may have signed up for Spotify's beta program which could explain why I don't have problems and my version numbers are so much higher.

Of course that still doesn't explain why Apple would claim it's their problem.

I guess my Macs didn't read about the issue. 😎

Tripped over the issue in my RSS Reeder, and remembered it. Then did a Google search to find the article.

I prefer to keep the firewall enabled of course.

Why is that? What problem is it solving for you?
