Q: Netflix keeps dropping out

WE have the Appletv box and we use it to watch programs on Netflix,   It has been running ok but for the last few evenings it has been dropping out after a few minutes.   Youtube seems to be working with no problem.

 

WE have rebooted the appletv box, rebooted our router but we still have the same problem.   Our tv is a Samsung.

 

Any suggestions thanks

    Hi Wendylanzarote,

    It sounds like you have isolated your issue to Netflix because you have restarted your Apple TV and router, and other programs like YouTube are not having an issue.

    Who is your service provider? I had Time Warner and was noticing this same behaviors. I have switched ISPs and the problem went away. That might not be an option for you, but I think some ISP throttle Netflix traffic during peak hours.

    I have the same issue which only started in february, but it also does it on my amazon fire tv box(gen2) and the netflix app built into my bedroom vizio TV.  Also, my my router is in the bedroom with my vizio tv and amazon fire box, so i know it's not a signal strength issue.  It's either netflix or comcast that's causing the issue.
