My Macbook Pro is 15-inch, Mid 2010

My Macbook Pro is 15-inch, Mid 2010 & its ram is 2gb + 2gb (PC3-8500 DDR3 1066 MHz) .. if i use 4gb + 4gb (PC3- 10600 DDR3 1600 MHz) ram will i face any kind of problem? what will be the problem is?

Why not install RAM with the correct specifications? Higher speed RAM will NOT run any faster that what the specifications call for and you run the risk of incompatibility. The correct RAM specifications for a 2010 MBP are: 204-pin PC3-8500 (1066 MHz) DDR3 SO-DIMM and it will accept up to 8 GB RAM.


OWC and Crucial are best sources for Mac compatible RAM.
