As is true with many applications that are not free, the developer will make it a bit less than simple to copy the application from one computer to another. After all, each individual user should have to buy the product, and not simply receive a copy from someone else.
In the case of TurboTax, therefore, simply copying the application from one machine to another will fail (as it should). There are plenty of other files TurboTax relies on in addition to the file you find in your Applications directory.
The proper way to get TurboTax on your other computer is to use the installation device you received when you purchased TurboTax. This might be a CD, or it might be a download code from the reseller, etc.
