Mac mini (Late 2012) Ethernet Unplugged

My computer was working perfectly fine before last shutting it down. Now, it does not read an ethernet cable. Actual network status is 'cable is unplugged.' Checked everything. Modem, cables, updates, but one particular thing: ethernet works perfectly fine in my Windows partition. I have solved issues with my ethernet before, a simple modem restart would fix the problem but this is beyond my knowledge. Also, I did not update to OS X 10.11.2 until after this malfunction emerged. Anyone know how to solve this? Thank you for your time.

Mac mini, OS X El Capitan (10.11.2), null
