to get the 'none' option you have to take a roundabout way

Make sure you have an e-mail that you haven't used before. Make sure you're signed out of iTunes if you've signed in. THen go to iTunes and try to download a free app, any free app. Follow the prompt to make an apple ID and you should see the none option.
