Getting my Target receipt?

I did a restore to factory setting on my old Iphone 5s with the intent to sell it after I got my new 6. That never happened so I had it untethered from ATT and purchased a sim card to use the phone on one of those cheaper phone plans. So everytime I get to the Activate Phone screen, I get the "This Iphone is linked to an Apple ID. Enter the Apple ID and password..." But the email that is listed is wrong...it's my husband's email not mine. So we have tried everything to get through this. My ID and password, his ID and password, changing passwords, etc. etc.

I called Apple and after an hour on the phone, they couldnt' figure it out either. Now the told me to go back to Target (where I originally purchased it) and ask for a copy of the receipt. I threw my original receipt out years ago, not knowing I would later need it. Has anyone ever experienced this? How do you get the original reciept if you bought it at Target. I did buy it with my Target Red Card, which is linked to my checking account, but I can't find any info from that either. Heck, I dont even remember what year I bought it...

ugh..anyone?

Hi AmyFL,

I understand you're having problems activating an iPhone. I'm sorry to hear you were still having problems after trying different methods of support. If you're having problems activating your iPhone, please refer to this support article: If you can't activate your iPhone - Apple Support.

As far as finding your receipt, according to Target's website a store can look up receipts by:

REDCards and Target Debit Cards
Third-party Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover credit cards
Checks: You must bring a blank check with the same checking account.
Target GiftCards: You must have the physical Target GiftCard for look-up.

Based off of that information, you can try to see if Target can help you locate your receipt.
