Received a random text with an iCloud email address, instead of a number.
Hi there. I was away from home, using my cellular data. I came home and turned on my WiFi, which was off because I was away a while. Anyway, I turned back on my phone, in which I had shut off on the way home. Shortly after I turned my phone back on, after reading some new emails that I had just received, I got a couple of really bizarre texts. Weird thing was is that they were listed as being from an iCloud email, instead of a regular number. I immediately deleted them, without opening them. I have received a scammer text before, claiming to lower my interest rates, I deleted this without opening as well. However, that was from an actual number. Any idea why this was listed as being from an iCloud account? I have been hacked before, so I apologize for being a bit paranoid. However, I want to do my best to protect my information. That said, would opening a text like this do anything malicious to an iPhone? Are there any security concerns here, or is this just coincidental?
Thanks a bunch.
