Hi Elahiraza,

I can understand how you would need to activate iMessage. I'm sorry to hear you're having problems activating it. Please refer to this support article from Apple for support: If you get an error when trying to activate iMessage or FaceTime - Apple Support.

If you're still having problems please post back, and we can look into this more.

-Regards,

John

Thanks for the prompt reply

I have tried every thing but its still not getting activated.

I even reset the handset

My assumption is there is some issue with the current ios as every time I tries to switch it on I receive an INFO SMS which I already attached earlier

Actually what happened !! A week ago I plugged in my phone to my computer via USB and on iTunes it was saying to upgrade where as it was already on 9.2.1 and from that day onwards I am facing different kind of problems

1) Back up on itunes is taking too long

2) Back up on icloud failed but then got it through

3) Battery is getting drained out

and like wise many other but now imessage and facetime is the issue.

Please advise

Hi again,

You're welcome! May I ask how long you've waited since you've tried to activate iMessage? Sometimes it may take up to 24 hours to activate iMessage.

Thank you for the information elahiraza. That's certainly a long time. May you upload that screenshot again of the "INFO SMS" into this discussion using the "Insert Image" feature please? I wasn't able to see the first one you sent because to access it we're required to login into a third-party service. Also, have you tried contacting your carrier to see if you're able to send SMS messages as well?

Thank you for screenshot. I'm not sure what the InfoSMS message is. You could always contact your carrier to see if they may know anything about that. If you're in Pakistan I think it might help to know that FaceTime is not available in your country. I would suggest you look at this support article from Apple and following some steps in their that might help fix your problem: If you can't send or receive messages on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support. I understand you're not able to send or receive messages but you're just not able to activate iMessage, but I went ahead and suggested that article because their are some steps in there you can try to follow to hopefully resolve your issues. If you're still having problems, try contacting your carrier and see if they can do anything or offer anything from their end to help. If you're still having problems, you can try posting back here but I'm at a lost of what else to do. You could try contacting Apple Support here too: http://www.apple.com/support/. Or, if their are any Apple Stores near you, you can try setting up a genius bar appointment for them to evaluate your device: http://www.apple.com/retail/geniusbar/.
