iPhone erase requested

Hi,

I've bought an iPhone on eBay today with a non-responsive screen which the seller still has. I've asked the seller to go to Find My Phone on the Apple website and Erase it to remove the Activation Lock.

They selected Erase and in My Devices (in Find My Phone) it states 'erase requested'. User uploaded file

When I check the IMEI number online, it states that The Activation Lock is still ON.

What should we do next?

Thanks

iCloud: Remove your device from Find My iPhone

After they click erase, they should see an additional option pop up when they have the phone selected to "Remove from Account". Just have them click that. It is not technically even necessary to erase it to remove it from Find my iPhone.

By the way, most likely reason it is not erasing is that the phone is not connected to the internet to get the signal to erase it.
