For the past several months my Mac will freeze up and only the mouse can move around on the screen but nothing works. It is now happening 4-6 times a day and requires a hard shutdown and reboot to continue. It has also been running much more slowly. Today I have lost the sound. I am running OSX Capitan 10.11.3. Any Help?

Your system uses virtually all of the base 4GB of RAM, however you have a LOT of stuff on the computer that likely uses is. I see you have a VERY outdated version of Parallels installed, if you still use Windows then update Parallels at least. You also have a lot of launch Daemons, look through what you have in the report and either uninstall the apps you don't use, update them or take them out of your startup apps.You also have a pretty old version of Java installed, do you even use Java? And you also appear to have some stuff that was used for Windows, this is listed in the User Launch Agents. In short you have made your system a mess but have not kept the hardware up-to-date by adding RAM.
You may want to consider doing an Erase and Install of OS X and then selectively install the Apps you know you will use, and restore your data files.
Great advice. There is a LOT going on here in the background and at startup. I don't know why Parallels is even there since I don't have a partition or any Microsoft applications. I'll do the kind of clean up you suggest. Now the only mystery is why I no longer have any sound . . .
Before you decide to do an erase and restore be aware that your Time Machine quit working six months ago. You need to get that corrected before doing anything.

I just noticed that Finder does not "see" the external hard drives I have connected. When I unplug the drives I get the "Dick Not Ejected Properly". Time Machine does not see the disks either. It says "Your Time Machine backup disk can't be found" though it is plugged directly into the machine. Any help?
I am right now downloading the updated Seagate Dashboard software. That's probably the problem. My other external drive just appeared in Finder now . . .
DO NOT download any Seagate software, if you already have put it in the Trash and empty the Trash.
First check Finder Preferences and see if the EHD checkbox is checked. Also open Disk Utility and see if they EHD is mounted there.
Done. No Seagate software. Gone, not installed.

It was already checked . . . I just hadn't expanded the Devices in Finder; they were hidden *hangs head*. The two external hard drives I have connected now show. I am backing Time Machine onto my 4 TB EHD. My Time Machine said it could not find my previous backup.
So far I have had this computer lock up on me twice in the past 4 hours requiring a hard shutdown and restart. The only thing that worked was the mouse but everything else locked up completely. If I am ever to back this up with a new Time Machine backup it will take 6 hours. I am running First Aid in Disk Utility right now. . . . Everything checks out.
