Keys 2 w s x Intermitently Do not Work
I have a 2011 Macbook Air 13" and recently the keys 2 w s x have been intermittently stopped working, but only for a few minutes and I don't think they stop working once they start working again until the computer goes to sleep. As you can see here, the keys are working else i wouldn't be able to type this.
The tricky part was when waking up the computer and logging into it as my password (at the time) contained on of those keys. I would have to wait a few minutes typing things in until the keys that i needed for the password started to respond properly. Changed my password so I can at least log into the computer haha
Anyway, I've seen other people ask the same question about they keyboard too with the same people responding with:
Did you spill anything in it? No
Do you eat over it? No
Does an external keyboard produce the same results: Don't have one to try
It's weird.. like once the computer has woken up the keys work without issue until it's put back to sleep (ie screensaver->sleep or closing the lid).
In the land of Google, someone mentioned that their HP laptop experienced the same thing and it could be Malware. I'm running a scan now, but it's weird if it's just those keys that are affected. (scan says nothing found, though i wouldnt normally expect to see a Windows-based Malware show up on my Mac).
Any other ideas?
