Q: Can I name a space?

Would be very helpful if I could name a "Space" within Mission Control's multiple "Desktops" -- I like to have a space focused on a particular project and all the windows I need open on that space -- a word doc, a browser window, a finder window all focused on "Budget Review" for example ... and instead of Desktop 4 as the name of that space call it "Budget Review" --- possible?

There's no way to do that.  If you put an application in Full Screen mode in that space, it will take on that application's name, so that could be an option.  For example, if you have a space focused on a particular project, like a Word document, put Word in Full Screen mode.  That space will be called Microsoft Word.  If it's in Excel, it'll be called Microsoft Excel.  If it's a website, it'll be called Safari (or whatever browser you use).

    Thx for quick and thorough reply ... disappointed in Apple ... seems like pretty obvious workflow process (at least to me!)

     

    I don't work in terms of apps, I work in terms of topics/projects/issues and use multiple apps to accomplish each of those individually.

     

    Oh well ... will send as feature request I suppose ...

    I agree, it would be nice if you could name spaces, as I'd find it more helpful than anything when I'm utilizing multiple desktops (the rare times that I do), but yeah — send Apple feedback about it.  If enough people submit feedback about that issue, a future update might include the ability to do that.  You never know.  I wish I could have been more help.
