Q: Mac Mini OS X 10.11.3 & USB3

After much consternation I have found that my Mac Mini (Late 2014) doesn't like USB3 hubs and WiFi at the same time. What is the problem associated with this? Is this a "known" problem? Is there a "Fix" in the works? The only USB3 device (the DVD burner which has this 8" cord must be plugged directly in the Mac in order to work.

Mac mini (Late 2014), OS X El Capitan (10.11.2)

Thank you. It had me mystified why it wouldn't work even plugged into a 2.0 hub and 24" away from the Mac Mini it would cut off the Wi-Fi. Now the mystery is solved. Thank you.
angry only that It doesn't work!
happy that We now know what the problem is.
