Is there any perks through apple for reaching higher level advisor positions

i work for a Verizon retailer and see the benefit for me getting knowledge and experience helping people troubleshoot I can even see potential for maybe even getting some business out of it . But is there anything apple offers for putting in the time and helping to take this off there plate?

You also need to be very careful that you do not do anything that would indicate, when you are posting here, that you are in any way representing Verizon Wireless. That could get you in a great deal of trouble with your employer. You should consult any applicable social media policies.

Aside from everything that has already been stated here, one of the absolute best perks about being a member of this community is having all of this user knowledge at your fingertips. As much as I enjoy helping simply for the sake of helping users with problems, I get back as much as I give, if not more. There are some really smart people around here who have taught me so much. I don't think that I could put a price on that.

Totally agree with this. I've only been an Apple user for 5 years, but just in the 6 months or so I've been actively posting here, I've learned a lot. I was basically self-taught on a PC and figured things out by trial and error plus Google. My sister and I had to reinstall Windows for my parents so many times, I've lost count. They're better about staying away from shady websites now, so we haven't had any issues, but that was a learning curve. When I got my MacBook in 2011, I had to teach myself how to use it because I was the only member of my family that had one.

I love helping people here, giving out the best advice I can to hopefully answer their questions or solve their problems. I'm wrong sometimes, but I'm never wrong on purpose. I don't do it for perks, though they're nice, and I don't do it because I hope to get any free Apple products or whatever out of it.

I understand the perk process and the point system, but the higher reward categories have to offer something in addition. Is it possible that the better the reputation, and number of perks could possibly set you up to beta test some of the newer software, and potentially have the newest hardware sent out to you to beta test the hardware as well???🙂

I just procured the new IPad pro, and I am loving it, and the information that I can find on these forums.

You don't need any points to be part of the beta program. Apple has a public beta program where you can test drive up-coming software. Unfortunately the beta programs have many downsides. You have to sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement. You can only discuss the beta with other beta users, how you find other beta users if you can't discuss it is a mystery. You can't ask for help here. Once you mention beta and you're having problems your post will be deleted. If something goes wrong your only option is to try and put the previous release back on it.

The newest hardware nobody sees until Apple announces it. Apple is very secretive.

I'll try and find the link the the public beta program.

Here you go. Be sure to follow all the lnks on the article to learn as much as possible. Remember, if something goes wrong you're on your own.

If you seek some kind of Certification derived from professional Training, you could check

into the Apple Training, and Certification; as available in certain locations...

• Apple Training and Certification:

https://aatcportal.apple.com/AATCWeb/locations

• Apple Legal - Training and Certification - Agreements and Policies:

https://www.apple.com/legal/sales-support/certification/

Not sure where the over-lap where training & certification may be helpful in another brand

environment; unless you were working in a business where several brands of products were

in use, or being sold, where customer service may be enhanced given additional experience.

While only glancing through the above portal into several of links inside, I did not see an iOS

or other section; those topics could be asked a training center or official Apple Store. In some

regions, training, certification, consulting products may be available by independent companies.

To see what may be available in a region or country, some of these appear in the Locator page

for support, sales, repair, training, consulting: Apple Find Locations: https://locate.apple.com/

or, Apple - Find Locations - Country Selector: https://locate.apple.com/country

You may be able to visit an Apple User group in your area to ask what is available if you join;

also you could ask an authorized reseller/service provider that may offer free or low-cost

product introductory training, as the official retail Apple Stores have done every so often.

Contact an Apple Store, & ask about free training they offer customers. Most have an online

schedule of topics they have mini-courses on. Even the independent stores do sometimes.

In any event...

Good luck & happy computing! 🙂

FWIW, points or levels here, will not play a role - anyone can enroll in the public beta program (until the limit if participants is reached).

And, to emphasize, if you decide on the public beta software program, you will essentially be on your own because you cannot ask questions here if you encounter a problem due to the restrictive non-disclosure agreement you need to agree to. The only thing you can do is file bug reports with Apple using an app installed with the beta. It is also not advisable to install a beta on your production (only) machine as betas can and will result in odd behavior and you may not be able to revert to the earlier OS. Apple recommends that you install it on a separate machine or partition (which you can't do with an iDevice).

As for hardware: not going to happen.
