Q: Cannot export images, produces solid black image file

I cannot export any images out of Aperture 3.6. No matter which preset or file format I chose, the resulting file is a solid black blank image

It should also be noted that exporting images from iPhoto produces the exact same result

How can this be fixed? I have literally terrabytes of photos in Aperture libraries, and now I can no longer access them

iMac 27" 5K Retina 4.0GHz / 32GB RAM.

I am using the latest El Capitan, 10.11.3 and Aperture 3.6.

iMac (Retina 5K, 27-inch, Late 2015), OS X El Capitan (10.11.3)

CCan you export the images, when you export the originals and not the edited versions?

can you still edit the photos?

where is your aperture library stored? On your system drive or on an external drive? If on an external drive, how is the drive connected and formatted?

THANK YOU! This little bit of information was the clue that helped me resolve this issue.

All my libraries are installed on a RAID 5 / 4x hard drive tower. I can access the data w no problems, or so I thought!

Turns out, I didn't have the Soft RAID 5 DRIVER installed on this new machine! Installed the driver, and now I can access my libraries and export images w no problems...

    THANK YOU! :-)
