“Apple ID is locked” email scam

This is a scam. Do not follow the link - they are attempting to gain your ID and password. Real emails from Apple will always address you by name, not 'Dear Client' or similar, and won't contain spelling mistakes. Though you may get genuine emails when you log into iCloud they will never ask you to verify the account in this way.

Obvoiusly enough it's a scam. Do not follow the link. You could forward it as an email attachment to reportphishing@apple.com and then delete it.

Change your password. Now. Sign out of all devices signed into iCloud before you do.

I recieved an email that my Apple Id is locked because someone else is locked in from a different browser( it wasnt me). They are writing to click a link and secure my account. Can i trust this link?******

I don't think you are a fool. You just need to be cautious. Here are some hints from Apple:

Verifying anything through a mechanism other than 'direct login to the site that holds your credentials' is always a SCAM.

No one conducts business this way. There is no need to. The site where you normally log in has all the support needed to re-verify, if that is actually required.

NEVER click on email links -- they are far, far too easy to fake. Type the URL yourself to be certain where you are going.

just as others say, it is a hoax (phishing scam). The best course of action is to forward the mail (if you still have it) to abuse@apple.com. The same goes for any mail claiming you online access is locked or has a problem. This is also 1 way ransomeware ends up on a computer.

I just got a similar email from appleid.custcenter.emailupdate@cs-requieredapps.com

It's a scam. If you want to check your Apple ID go directly to http://appleid.apple.com . If your ID was locked for security reasons you wouldn't get an email about it, you would find out when you tried to log in and would then have to contact Support. There are various variants of this type of email (together with the 'you have a virus' scams): never clock on a link or follow up a phone number in emails or pop-ups of this type. And although Apple do own apple.co.uk they always send emails from apple.com - it's very easy to fake the 'From' address on an email.

Why would you think an email from cs-requieredapps.com is from Apple? It is obviously a scam. They have not even tried to spoof Apple's domain.
