Q: Not able to type in any TELUGU font in Apple motion or FCP

HI,

I am not able to properly type in Telugu language. I could type direcdt letters, but If I add extra features like Telugu, I am getting mixed up, and not like it should be.

Thanks

Are you using the fonts supplied by Apple?  If they don't work right, it is likely a bug which only they can fix.  A workaround might be to use a separate titling app like Belle Nuit or create the titles in iMovie and import the track from there (iMovie sometimes works with Indic scripts when FCP does not).

If you need to create right-to-left writing, you can accomplish that fairly easily in Motion, no matter what the font or language "script".

Take your text object and in Properties > Transform > Position > Y, rotate 180°.

Go into Text > Format > Advanced inspector and change the Rotation > Y to 180°.

The first transform flips the entire text object 180 degrees and the second one flips each character 180 degrees.
