Try emptying the Trash.

They do not actually get deleted until you empty the Trash.

Have you restarted the computer since you deleted the movies?

Try re-indexing spotlight. It uses spotlight to categorize what it finds on the drive. Spotlight: How to re-index folders or volumes - Apple Support

Also you could try downloading OmniDiskSweeper. https://www.omnigroup.com/more

It will show you where all the files are on your computer. It will sort them by size.
